Humboldt State Preview
All-time vs. HSU:  0-2

Last Meeting vs. HSU: L, 69-52 (December 3, 2015). The Cougars shot just 28.8 percent from the field when the Lumberjacks came to town in December. After trailing 38-20 at the half, CSUSM cut the gap to nine points in the third frame but that was as close as they got.  Savannah Camp led CSUSM's offense with 14 points and Ashley Ontiveros chipped in 11 points.

HSU Breakdown: The Jacks clinched a berth into the CCAA tournament after recording a 73-67 victory at Chico State last Saturday.  HSU ranks third in the CCAA with a 33.6 3-point field goal percentage and Kiana Brown is leading the charge with a 2.3 3-point field goal average.

Cal Poly Pomona Preview
All-time vs. CPP: First meeting between these two teams.

CPP State Breakdown: The Broncos have been struggling this season after making it to the NCAA Division II West Region title game last season and finishing with a 21-9 record. On paper, CPP is still fighting for a spot in the CCAA tournament but San Francisco State (6-12) would have to beat UC San Diego (16-2) who is tied for second in the CCAA standings.

Looking Forward To 2016-17
After five years of playing "home" games at MiraCosta College in Oceanside, the Cougars will move into The Sports Center for the 2016-17 season. For more information on The Sports Center and to purchase your 2016-17 season tickets, click here.

The Renee Jimenez File
Renee Jimenez took the helm of the CSUSM women's basketball program on May 22, 2015. She brings a wealth of knowledge as a head coach in the CCAA, compiling a 125-71 record in the past seven seasons. Jimenez spent the last two seasons at Cal State San Bernardino (2013-15) after a five-year stint at Cal State Monterey Bay (2008-13).

Rules Are A Changing in 2015-16
There are major changes in women's basketball this season. Games will now consist of four 10-minute quarters rather than two 20-minute halves. Teams will also now be awarded two free throws for each common foul beginning with the fifth team foul in each quarter.

New Conference
Cal State San Marcos is in its first season competing in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). The CCAA is made up of 12 CSU institutions and UC San Diego. The CCAA is one of the premier NCAA Division II leagues in the nation. Its teams have won more national championships (153) than any other NCAA Division II conference.

New Territory
After four seasons of competition in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Cougars enter their first season of NCAA Division II competition in 2015-16. CSUSM is currently in the second year of a three-year transition to full NCAA Division II membership. As a part of the transition, the Cougars will be ineligible for postseason play in 2015-16 and 2016-17.
