OCEANSIDE, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team dropped an 84-56 decision to No. 20 UC San Diego in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action on Thursday night at MiraCosta College.
UCSD sunk nine 3-pointers in the contest while CSUSM made just two despite averaging 7.1 this season.
The Cougars fall to 6-16 overall and 4-13 in conference play. The Tritons improve to 21-3, 16-2 in the CCAA.

Savannah Camp tallied 14 points and senior
Brianna Higgins chipped in 10 points. Junior
Ashley Jenkins registered seven rebounds and two steals.
The Cougars shot over 45-percent for the third time this season, hitting 47.1 (24-of-51) from the field. Unfortunately, UCSD shot 57.9 (33-of-57).
The Tritons spread out their offense with five reaching double-digits. Jamie Katuna led the way with 17 points. Farrah Shokoor collected a double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds.
CSUSM will play its final game program history at MiraCosta College on Saturday, Feb. 20, hosting Cal State San Bernardino. Prior to the 6 p.m. tip-off, there will be a short ceremony honoring CSUSM's lone senior,
Brianna Higgins.
