SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team is ready to get back on the court this week after 10 days off for the holidays. The Cougars host Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State L.A. in The Sports Center on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.

THE COUGARS AT A GLANCE
- CSUSM went 1-0 the week before the holiday break
- For the first time in program history, the Cougars went to double overtime on Dec. 18 in a 83-79 victory over Saint Martin's in The Sports Center.
- CSUSM is tied for fourth with UC San Diego in the CCAA standing with a 3-1 record. CSULA (4-0) and Stanislaus State (3-0) are the only two undefeated teams and Cal Poly Pomona (4-1) sits in the third spot.
- As a team, CSUSM ranks third free throw percentage (.755) and fourth in blocked shots per game (3.67).
- Senior Ashley Jenkins and junior Savannah Camp rank 12th and 13th in scoring in the CCAA with 12.9 and 12.4 points per game, respectively.
- Jenkins is also sixth in the CCAA with a 82.5 free throw percentage.
RUNDOWN OF CAL STATE DOMINGUEZ HILLS
- CSUDH has a 1-2 advantage over CSUSM in the all-time series record.
- 2015's CCAA Newcomer of the Year and All-CCAA first team selection Imari Brown is averaging a team-best 16.4 points per game.
- Prior to the break, CSUDH dropped an 82-64 decision at UC San Diego on Dec. 19th.
- CSUDH, as a team, are third in the CCAA in scoring offense (68.6 ppg) but are in last place in scoring defense (73.8).
CAL STATE L.A. BREAKDOWN
- CSUSM has a 0-3 record against CSULA.
- Junior Rikke Fabricius and freshman Da'Jah Jackson lead the Golden Eagles with 15.3 and 13.6 points per game.
- Before the break, CSULA recorded back-to-back wins over Cal State Dominguez Hills (90-89) and Cal State East Bay (78-67).
- CSULA ranks second in the CCAA with a 34.2 3-point field goal percentage.
THE CCAA CONFERENCE
- Cal State San Marcos is a part of the 13-team California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Conference, made up of 12 Cal State institutions and UC San Diego.
- The CCAA is one of the premier NCAA Division II conferences in the nation. Its teams have won more national championships (153) than any other conference.
THE JIMENEZ FILE
- Head coach Renee Jimenez enters her second season in charge of the Cougar women's basketball team, a program that is only in its sixth season of existence.
- Jimenez has compiled a 132-89 in her eight seasons coaching in the CCAA, spending two seasons at Cal State San Bernardino after a five-year stint at Cal State Monterey Bay.
