ROHNERT PARK, CALIF. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team dropped a three-set decision to Sonoma State in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play on Tuesday at The Wolves' Den. The final scores were 25-13, 25-15 and 25-17.
Sonoma State out-hit the Cougars .376 to .132 in the match.
The Cougars fall to 4-11 overall and 1-6 in conference play. The Seawolves improve to 7-4, 4-1 CCAA.

The Cougars stayed within three points throughout the first part of opening set. The Seawolves put together an 11-1 run to win the set 25-13.
The second set was dominated by Sonoma State after jumping out to an 8-2 lead. The Seawolves cruised to a 25-15 victory.
The Cougars came alive after intermission, taking a quick 8-3 lead. Sonoma State's offense caught fire and evened the set at 10-10. The Seawolves pulled away with a 9-1 run and eventually took the set and match with a 25-17 third set win.
Caylie Seitz notched 12 kills and Rachel Andrews tallied six blocks to lead the Seawolves.
The Cougars continue their five-match road trip with stops this weekend at Cal Poly Pomona (Oct. 2) and Cal State Monterey Bay (Oct. 3).
