LOS ANGELES – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team fell 89-25 to USC in an exhibition on Sunday afternoon at Galen Center.
Both teams were cold from beyond the arc with the Cougars dropping the only 3-pointer of the game. The Trojans went 0-of-10 from long range.
Junior
Ashley Jenkins tallied five points and pulled down a team-best six rebounds. Sophomore
Jasmine Matar also recorded five points in addition to four boards and a blocked shot.
USC's Temi Fagbenle scored a game-high 28 points and Kristen Simon chipped in 17 points, 15 rebounds and five steals.
The Trojans out-rebounded CSUSM 58-27.
The Cougars begin their regular season on the road, facing UC San Diego on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m. This game also serves as CSUSM's California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) conference opener.
