OCEANSIDE, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team had its 26-game home winning streak snapped by Azusa Pacific, 72-66, on Tuesday night at MiraCosta College.
APU (4-1), which held a two-point lead at half time, limited CSUSM (3-1) to a 27.1-percent shooting clip from the field in the second half and dealt CSUSM its first home loss since the 2012-13 season.
Tanner Waldrip led CSUSM with a game-high 19 points off the bench on 8-of-11 shooting.
Taran Brown added 11 points, while
Declan Daly corralled a game-high 13 rebounds.
Collin Host contributed eight points and 10 rebounds.
Corey Langerveld scored 14 points for APU. Petar Kutlesic tallied 13 points and nine rebounds.
CSUSM will fly to Hawaii on Wednesday in preparation for two games against BYU-Hawaii and Chaminade on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
