Point Loma Breakdown: The Sea Lions are right smack in the middle of the PacWest Conference standings, ranking seventh out of 14 teams. PLNU is on a five-game win streak with sweeps over Dominican, Holy Names and Notre Dame de Namur in addition to two four-set victories against Academy of Art.

Stanislaus State Breakdown: Despite dropping three consecutive matches in the last two weeks, the Warriors are still in the top eight of the CCAA standings. Sometimes 25 Points Isn't EnoughThe Cougars have had to go to "extra points" in sets on seven occasions this season. This is not something new in their young program. CSUSM has had 56 sets go past the 25-point mark in its five years. On a positive note, the Cougars are 33-23 in those sets. The highest set score was a 42-40 victory over William Jessup on Aug. 23, 2012 that resulted in a sweep over the Warriors.
