LANCASTER, Calif. - The No. 16 Cal State San Marcos baseball team took down the University of Antelope Valley 5-2 and 4-2 in the first ever meetings between the teams in Assoication of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) play on Friday afternoon at Clear Channel Stadium.

The Cougars have won five consecutive games and improve to 8-8 overall, the first time the team has reached the .500 mark this season. UAV drops to 13-12.

CSUSM and UAV will conlcude their four-game set with a doubleheader tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. at CSUSM Baseball Field. The contest will be live streamed with play-by-play commentary at ustream.tv/channel/csusmsports.
