ESPANOLA, N.M. – Zack Zaragoza hit 7-of-10 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 23 points in the No. 1 Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team's 79-69 win over Northern New Mexico College on Friday night at Eagle Gym.

The Cougars improve to 24-1 overall. CSUSM has won 15 straight games. NNMC drops to 12-14 overall.

Malcolm Lemmons added 16 points and eight rebounds. Jason Johnson was the only other Cougar in double figures with 10.

De'End Parker dished out seven assists for the second straight night.

The Cougars and Eagles played for the second night in a row. CSUSM won in the first edition yesterday, 91-66.

CSUSM shot 44.1 percent from the floor and 44 percent from behind the arc.

The Cougars turn around to face Johnson & Wales (Colo.) at Eagle Gym tomorrow at 3:00 p.m.
