ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team fell to Dixie State 67-62 on Saturday afternoon in the Dixie State Thanksgiving Classic in St. George, Utah.
The Cougars drop to 1-4 on the season while the Red Storm collects their first win of 2014-15 season.

Mackenzie Harnett led the Cougars with 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists. The 17 points ties her career high made on March 9, 2014 in the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) tournament against Lindenwood-Belleville.

Cassie Damyanovich chipped in 11 points.
CSUSM rallied in the second half after finding itself down 38-26 at the break. The Cougars outscored the Red Storm 36-29 while holding them to a 28 percent shooting from the field in the second half.
Cougars improved on last night's performance at the free throw line, going 10-of-13. They won the battle of the board, outrebounding Dixie State 42-35.
Dixie State was led by Kaylah Miller with 26 points and Taylor Mann's 16 points.
CSUSM resumes its six-game road trip with a stop at Westmont on Tuesday, Nov. 25. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m.
