Tyler Bernard led-off with back-to-back walks.
Kody Sepulveda then drove a line drive to right center, but CU right fielder Carl Beckert made a diving catch before doubling up Secciani at second base.

Sheldon Austria's two-run home run inside the right-field foul pole made it 11-0 in the third before CU added two more in the fifth to take a 13-run lead.
Adam Tapia led off with a hit in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Cougars and scored from first when
Mike Guadagnini's single to left was mishandled by Jimmy Sanchez.
