A.I.I.'s Finest
Cal State San Marcos will officially participate in the Association of Independent Institutions Championship Tournament hosted by the University of Houston-Victoria, May 1-3 at Riverside Stadium. The Cougars will join UHV, Fisher College, Ashford University and LSU-Alexandria in the five-team competition with an automatic berth to the NAIA Nationals Opening Round Tournament on the line. Official seeds and the tournament schedule will be released later in the month.

Opposing pitchers could not get past the bat of Kody Sepulveda last week, as the catcher/designated hitter went 10-for-18 (.556) over five games. Against La Sierra, he batted .643 (9-for-14) with four RBI. He went 6-for-7 in the final doubleheader of the series, tallying three doubles and three RBI. Sepulveda earned A.I.I.
