A.I.I. Tournament Time
The Cougars will be making their fourth appearance at the conference postseason tournament this week on the campus of University of Houston-Victoria. CSUSM is 3-4 all-time at the A.I.I. Championships. In 2011, CSUSM beat Thomas (Ga.) and UHV twice to take home their only A.I.I. conference title. The Cougars have been named the No. 1 seed the last three seasons.

A Year for the Books
CSUSM swept Arizona Christian in the season-finale twinbill on Saturday at CSUSM Baseball Field, clinching its 32nd win of the season and setting a new program record for wins during the regular season. The Cougars' 32 wins are two behind their program-best 34 wins in 2011 – the last time they appeared in the NAIA tournament.

Tripplin' Out
CSUSM set a school record with four triples in its 8-0 win over Arizona Christian in game one on Saturday. Mike Guadagnini became just the fourth Cougar in program history to record two triples in one game, joining Jeremy Baum (Mar. 24, 2012), Cornelius McCloskey (Feb. 17, 2012) and Kyle Secciani (Mar. 15, 2012). Secciani also doubled twice in Saturday's game one, the first time in his four-year career in which he recorded two doubles in a contest.

Against A.I.I.
The Cougars were 9-1 overall against teams from the A.I.I. this season. CSUSM swept Ashford in a three-game set on Mar. 4 and 7 before taking four games from La Sierra on April 5 and 7. The Cougars also took two of three from La Sierra on Feb 22 and 24. LSU is not in the tournament.
