Box Score MONTGOMERY, W.Va. – The top-seeded Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team was upset by fourth-seeded Voorhees (S.C.), 80-66, in the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Tournament semifinals on Saturday afternoon at the Neal Baisi Athletic Center on the campus of West Virginia Tech.
UPDATE: Bryan Emanuel was named to the All-A.I.I. Tournament Team, it was announced Sunday by the conference.
CSUSM (23-6) trailed from the 6:15 mark of the first half on, as Voorhees (21-11) used a 17-6 run early in the second frame to increase its lead to 17 and put the Cougars in a hole that they could not get out of.
Voorhees scored 17 points off 15 CSUSM turnovers and outscored the Cougars 36-22 in the paint. The Tigers capitalized with 23 points off 13 offensive rebounds while the Cougars registered just seven second-chance points.

Adam Eakles corralled a career-high 13 rebounds.
CSUSM shot just 39.7 percent from the field and was 7-of-22 (31.8 percent) from behind the arc, well below its season averages of 49.3 percent and 39.3 percent, respectively.
The Cougars now await their fate for the NAIA National Tournament, needing an at-large berth in order to be included in the 32-team postseason competition.
