Box Score VALLEJO, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team fell 73-68 to host Cal Maritime on Saturday evening at the Cal Maritime Classic.

CSUSM dropped to 5-8 with the loss while CMA improved to 5-5 overall.

Cassie Damyanovich led the way with 18 points for CSUSM, while Sherika Miller had 13 points. Heather Thompson recorded her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

The Cougars shot 50.9 percent from the floor, marking the first time this season CSUSM has made more than half its shots. Six Cougars shot 50 percent or better.

Alexandria Alvarado went 4-of-6 from the field while Kimbery Kipp, MacKenzie Harnett and Brianna Higgins were all 2-of-2.

Javier Brantley led all scorers with 32 points for the Keelhaulers. CMA shot just 37.9 percent during the game, but took advantage of 30 CSUSM turnovers.

The Cougars' next contest will be next Saturday, December 14^th vs. Simpson at 7:30 p.m. The game is CSUSM Youth Night. All children under the age of 14 that wear his or her youth basketball team jersey will get in free. Parents are $5.
