SAN MARCOS, Calif. - The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team is looking to get back on track on Tuesday evening against San Diego Christian before heading to Vallejo over the weekend to take on Menlo and Cal Maritime.

Road Trippin'
The Cougars' clash with the Hawks will be the team's fifth of seven straight games away from their home floor. The Cougars have not been at home since taking down Menlo 72-63 on Nov. 21. CSUSM is 2-2 so far on the road trip and stands at 3-4 overall away from MiraCosta College.
The First 10
Despite falling in back-to-back games at the CSULA Thanksgiving Classic over the weekend, the Cougars are 5-5 through their first 10 games for the first time in the program's three-year history. Their previous best was 4-6 in the 2011-12 debut season. CSUSM is 5-2 against NAIA Division II opponents; Menlo and Cal Maritime both compete in NAIA DII's California Pacific Conference.
Home for the Holidays
The Cougars return to the friendly confines of MiraCosta College on Dec. 14 for three consecutive home games. CSUSM will take on Simpson before hosting Vanguard (Dec. 17) and Dakota State (Dec. 20).
San Diego Christian (4-1)
SDCC won its first three games of the season before falling to Corban (Ore.) on Nov. 23 ... The Hawks bounced back with a 71-55 win over Simpson, led by Chardonnay Shula's 15 points ... Shula leads SDCC with 12.0 PPG ... The Hawks' leading rebounder is Irene Lopez at 9.6 RPG ... The Cougars fell in the only meeting between the teams on Dec. 4, 2012, 66-60, in El Cajon.
