Box Score SAN DIEGO – Five players finished in double digits and the Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team recorded its third triple-digit win with a 100-72 victory over Waldorf College in the championship game of the New Year's Cougar Classic on Saturday night at Sol City Sport Center at Alliant International University.

The Cougars improve to 14-1 overall with their fifth win in a row. WC drops to 6-5.

CSUSM shot over 50 percent for the fifth time this season, beating Waldorf with a 57.1 percent clip. The Cougars' 40 field goals were a season high and are tied for the second-most in single game program history.

Jason Johnson led the way with 20 points, while De'End Parker tallied 19 with seven assists. Malcolm Lemmons registered 16 points and six rebounds.

Zack Zaragoza made his first four 3-point attempts, all in the first half, finishing the game with 12 points. For the tournament, Zaragoza was 7-of-11 from behind the arc.

Adam Eakles had 12 points and pulled down eight boards.

CSUSM will look for its sixth win in a row when it hosts Thompson Rivers on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. at MiraCosta College.
