NAIA #2 and the tournaments #1 seed, California State University - San Marcos (48-4), handed Dickinson State University (28-22) it's first loss of the 2012 A.I.I. Conference Tournament in Columbus, GA.

Cal State used a five run second inning to take control of the game after a scoreless first. Freshman second baseman Olivia Lucatuorto (2-4, 2 RBI, HR) had the big hit in the second with a two run shot over the left center field fence. The game was delayed one hour after two innings due to an afternoon thunderstorm that rolled thru the Columbus area. Junior starting pitcher Cortney Allen (18-4) tossed 5 1/3 innings in the winning effort, allowing no runs while scattering three hits.

CSUSM will face the winner of game 4 tomorrow at 4PM. DSU and LSUA will match up in the tournaments first elimination game tomorrow at 11AM.
