The Cal State San Marcos Baseball team fell twice Thursday to #24 ranked The Master's in a pair of close ballgames in Santa Clarita, CA.
In the first game,
Anthony Renteria hit a grand slam for the second time in 3 games, but the Cougars couldn't hold on to a 5-1 lead and eventually fell 7-5.
In Game 2, the Cougars received a homerun from
Trent Jemmett, and two homeruns off the bat of
Austin Coleman, but couldn't quite complete a final inning comeback, as the game ended on a "strike 'em out, throw 'em out" double play.
The #25 Cougars (21-15) play again next Saturday at Cal Baptist.
