The Cal State San Marcos Softball offense was firing on all cylinders Tuesday afternoon at Biola, scoring 22 runs and piling up 25 hits in a pair of impressive victories.
Game 1 (CSUSM 9 – Biola 2)

The Cougars set the tone for the day and jumped out to a 3-0 lead on a single swing after a home run blast by
Theresa Houle, her 12
th of the season.
Cortney Allen (12-3) kept the host Eagles at bay the rest of the way, allowing just one earned run over 6 innings of work, while striking out 4.
San Marcos also received home runs on the day from
Alyssa Dronenburg (12 this season),
Olivia Lucatuorto (5), and
Brittany Grier (3). Grier went 3-for-4 on the day, and hit her 6
th and 7
th doubles of the year as well.
Game 2 (CSUSM 13—Biola 4)

CSUSM got off to a rough start, falling behind 4-0 in the first inning and matching the biggest deficit the Cougars have faced all season. The lead for Biola was short lived however, as San Marcos got two runs back in the second inning before blowing the game wide open with an eight run third inning.
Theresa Houle went 2-for-4 with a homerun for the second straight game, giving her a team-high 13 home runs on the season.
Caitlin Monnahan and
Alicia Ingram each went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, and Ingram stole two bases to give her 24 on the year.
Jordan Lamoureux pitched 4 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing just 3 hits en route to her 6
th win of the year. The Cougars (36-3) play next Thursday April 5
th at home against Vanguard starting at 2:00 pm.
