The #2 ranked Cal State San Marcos Softball team completed their Northern California road trip to wrap up the regular season with a pair of victories over William Jessup, winning 11-3 and 7-0 Monday. The Cougars will head into postseason play with a record of 47-4, with a program best .922 winning percentage.
CSUSM earned the #1 seed in the A.I.I. Conference Tournament, which will take place in Thomasville, GA starting May 3
rd. The Cougars will face the winner of Jamestown (ND) and Dickenson State (ND) at 1:00 PST.

CSUSM rolled to an easy run-rule victory as the Cougars piled up 11 runs on 14 hits, lead by
Kaitlin McGinley who went 3-for-5 with 2 stolen bases.
Kimberle Smith and
Alyssa Dronenburg each hit their 3
rd homerun in the last 3 days, and
Olivia Lucatuorto and
Theresa Houle both doubled.
Cortney Allen improved to 17-4 on the season after pitching a complete game, allowing 3 earned runs.

It took 7 innings for either team to get on the scoreboard, but once the Cougars plated that first run there was no slowing them down. San Marcos ended up scoring 7 runs on 7 hits in the inning, including three doubles and a triple.
Alicia Ingram went 3-for-4 and knocked home the first two runs, and
Kimberle Smith went 2-for-4 at the plate and also pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings.
Katie Wilkinson finished off the final 1 2/3 innings to earn her 15th win.
