The Week That Was
CSUSM took on a pair of NCAA teams last week to end a six-game road stretch to start the season. The Cougars fell to NCAA Division II's Cal State LA 68-48 and NCAA Division I's University of San Diego in an exhibition, 69-44.
Mechel'la Logan and
Anna Nguyen led CSUSM with 11 points against CSULA. Logan registered 19 points against USD.

Arizona Christian comes to town Tuesday to start the home slate for the Cougars. CSUSM and ACU have never met. The Firestorm are currently 2-0 on the year after wins over St. Thomas (Texas) and University of the Southwest (N.M.). Sarah Beth Hock leads ACU with 16.5 points per game and Paula Clendaniel averages 16.5.
