Alyssa Foster of the Cal State San Marcos Women’s Volleyball team has been named the Cal State San Marcos Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 18-24, 2013. Foster was also awarded the A.I.I. Setter of the Year. The junior from Portland, Ore. Finished the A.I.I. Championship game with 56 assists, 13 digs, three blocks, two service aces and a kill. Foster was also named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player and finished the competition with 159 total assists, nearly twice the amount of her closest competitor Verenice Chaparro (85) from Ashford.
