Cal State San Marcos Athletics

Kelly Thompson has been named the Cal State San Marcos Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 12 - Nov. 18. She finished fifth nationally at the NAIA Cross Country National Championships on Saturday. She ran faster than any other female Cougar runner at Nationals and placed the highest of any runner, man or woman, at the National Championships in program history. She earned her third All-America award and wrapped up a college career in which she led the Cougars to three national championships and a fourth-place national finish.
