Alyssa Fisher joined the CSUSM women's basketball team as an assistant coach in July 2024.
Fisher came to CSUSM after two years as a graduate assistant coach at Central Washington University (2022-24). She helped the Wildcats to a 40-21 record in her two seasons, including an NCAA West Regional appearance in 2023. Fisher was responsible for preparing scouting reports, travel itineraries, coordinating video, working directly with the team's guards and managing all academic needs.
Before CWU, Fisher played collegiately at Cal State LA from 2017 to 2022. As a two-year team captain, Fisher started 90 games for the Golden Eagles and was a four-time CCAA All-Academic selection. Fisher was also a recipient of the CCAA's Dr. Hal Charnofsky Award in 2021.
Fisher's first introduction to coaching came in the spring of 2021 as an assistant varsity coach at Chaminade College Preparatory where she assisted with day-to-day operations, led all player development for guards and forwards, and was responsible for the implementation of both offensive and defensive game plans.
Fisher received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cal State LA in 2021 and earned a graduate degree in Sports and Athletic Administration from Central Washington in 2024.
