Biography

Before CSUSM: Helped Palm Desert High to Desert Valley League Championships in each of his four years there. A three year letterman in baseball, Corey was named the Freshman Most Valuable Player in 2003 and the Junior Varsity Defensive Player of the Year in 2004. He had a fantastic season in 2006, hitting .396 with an on-base percentage of .457 and slugging percentage of .500. He was named Varsity Offensive Player of the Year at his school and First Team All-Desert Valley League, and was a Riverside County All-Star selection.

Other: Corey is also accomplished in the classroom; he’s an honor student and Senior Scholar, and earned a science and math cord.
