Cal State San Marcos Athletics

Mike Moheit comes to Cal State University San Marcos with over 25 years of coaching experience. He has spent the previous few years as an assistant coach at La Sierra University and Pacifica College. In his tenure at Pacifica as the team's catcher coach and hitting coach, the team ranked among the highest in team averages. Moheit has coached in the Summer Collegiate Leagues where players from all over the country participated in.  

Moheit has served roles as the head coach at Linfield Christian High School and assistant coach at Murrieta Valley High School, Great Oak High School and University High School. While at Murrieta Valley, he helped guide the team into the CIF playoffs. He has coached the Temecula Longhorns travel baseball club and the All-American Baseball Club, where his players have gone on to have great high school and college careers.

Over the years, Moheit has been an instructor and speaker for camps and clinics throughout Southern California. He has owned and operated his business of Strike Zone Baseball for over 20 years in teaching the fundamentals and techniques of baseball. His playing career consisted of playing professionally in the Kansas City Royals organization and stints in independent leagues.

Mike lives in Murrieta with his wife Renee.
