Cal State San Marcos Athletics

Jordan Vina enters his third season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Cal State San Marcos baseball program in 2025. He works primarily with the infielders, base runners, and has assisted Head Coach Jose Garcia with recruiting efforts the last three years. Vina is the Cougars' first base coach. 

In Vina’s first year in 2023, the Cougars produced the highest fielding percentage in school history, fielding at a .965 clip. 

Prior to joining the Cougars, Vina coached locally for James Davis at Granite Hills High school. 

During his playing career, Vina played two seasons at Sacramento City College before finishing his career at Eastern New Mexico University. 

A native of Sacramento, California, Jordan is the son of former Major League baseball player, Fernando Vina.
