Brandon Bentson was named to Head Coach Matt Guiliano's coaching staff in September of 2016.
Bentson grew up locally in San Diego where he attended Rancho Bernardo HS.
As the current all-time hit leader at CSUSM, Bentson will be working with the hitters and outfielders.
During his time at CSUSM, Bentson was a four-year letterwinner who earned three Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) All-Conference honors and one CCAA All-Conference accolade. Bentson started in all but two games in his college career and broke numerous CSUSM school records during his time as a Cougar.
Bentson led the 2013 and 2015 squads to A.I.I. Conference Championships, which granted CSUSM a birth to the NAIA baseball tournament.
In addition to his coaching duties, Bentson will also be working on campus as a mentor to current CSUSM student-athletes. He also coaches a 10U and an 11U travel baseball teams.
Bentson earned his bachelor’s degree in mass media from CSUSM in 2016.
