AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2022 DURING CROSS COUNTRY

Ran in three races.
Placed 56th at the CCAA Championships (Nov. 5) with an 8K time of 26:58.4.
Ran a career-best in the 8K at Lewis Crossover (Oct. 8) with a time of 26:12.7 to take 121st place.
Took 127th place with a time of 26:17.2 at the NCAA DII Pre-Nationals (Oct. 22).

Competed in six meets.
Season-best 3000-meter run time of 9:25.93 came at the RCC Invitational (March 4).
Had a season-best time of 16:00.20 in the 5K at the Triton Invitational (April 8-9).
Recorded his lone 1500-meter time of 4:20.20 at the San Diego Collegiate Challenge (March 11).

Favorite food is Kitfo and Ethiopian traditional food.
Most memorable moment while competing in cross country was winning the 2018 DIII CIF State Cross Country Championships for the first time in Bakersfield history.
Biggest challenge was overcome the language barrier.
Intends to become a math teacher at a high school or college level.
