AS A JUNIOR IN 2018

Competed in four races.
Took 33rd place at the Cougar Challenge (Oct. 13) with a 6K time of 24:48.5.
Ran a season-best 5K time of 20:21 in the Coyote Challenge (Sept. 22).

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2017 AT RIVERSIDE CITY COLLEGE

Placed fifth at the Orange Empire Conference Cross Country Championships (Oct. 26) with a time of 20:03.7 in the 5K.
Ran a 19:45.7 in the 5K to place 43rd at the CCCAA Cross Country Championships (Nov. 18).
Earned her associate’s degree in Humanities in 2018.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2016 AT RIVERSIDE CITY COLLEGE

Took 26th in a time of 22:18.3 at the Orange Empire Conference Cross Country Championships (Oct. 28).

HIGH SCHOOL

A 2016 graduate of Martin Luther King High School.
Also competed on the track & field team.

PERSONAL

Born and raised in Riverside, Calif.
Daughter of Juan and Cynthia Chapa.
Has an older sister, Sarah and a younger brother, Nathan.
Enjoys going to Disneyland, movie marathons (especially old movies) and spending time with her family and friends.
Has many favorite movies but top ones are “Gone with the Wind”, “Rebel Without a Cause”, “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”, “Divergent” and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”.
Roots for the L.A. Dodgers and Denver Broncos.
Most memorable moment was going to state with her junior college cross country team.
Favorite athlete is Carissa Gomez who inspires her to be a better runner.
Majoring in Liberal Studies.
Aspires to become a special education teacher.
