AS A FRESHMAN IN 2014: Named NAIA All-American … Earned  All-Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) first team honors … Finished 21st overall in the NAIA Cross Country Championship (11/23) with a time of 25:29 … Placed fifth at the A.I.I.  Conference championships (11/08)  with a time of 25:26.7 … Won the Cougar Challenge (10/18) at set a PR with a time of 25:06, his first win with CSUSM … Won the NAIA West Coast Jamboree (10/25) with a time of 25:11.7 … Placed fifth with a time of 26:03.3 at the UC Riverside Invite (09/13) … Finished fourth at the Pomona-Pitzer Cross Country Invite (10/04) with a time of 25:33.6 … Finished fourth in scoring and eight overall at The Master’s College Mustang Challenge (09/20) … Placed in the top-10 in six of the seven races he ran.

PERSONAL: Son of Julian and Nora Tellames … Has three older siblings: Amanda Keifer, Jeremy Keifer and Adam Keifter … Plans on majoring in Kinesiology … Enjoys biking (BMX), parkour/freerunning, hiking, reading, listening to music, going to the beach, going on adventures with friends, animal rescue and watching movies … Most memorable moment was during his sophomore season running in a junior varsity race and placing third while wearing Vans skating shoes that had holes in the bottom while also donning basketball shorts and a t-shirt.
