SAN MARCOS, Calif. – A lone second-half goal propelled the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (3-1-5, 1-1-2 CCAA) to its first conference win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Stanislaus State (4-2-2, 3-1-0 CCAA) on Sunday at The Cage.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Scoreless after 45 minutes, both teams took three shots for the period while the Warriors had a 3-1 edge in shots on goal. The Cougars led in corner kicks at 4-1.
- A battle for the ball near the left post was cleared by a Stanislaus defender before Abby LaRocca headed it into the right side of the net from the penalty kick marker to give CSUSM a 1-0 lead in the 67th minute.

- LaRocca's goal was her second of the season.
