LA MIRADA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team (3-1-0) posted a 2-1 win at Biola (0-4-2) on Saturday afternoon at Al Barbour Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With possession just outside the right side of the box, Jeremy Larson sent a cross near the left post, where Luc McGreevey Couchman headed it into the left side of the goal to give Biola a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute.
- Just a few moments later in the 26th minute, Matthew Ibarra took advantage of a loose ball in front of the keeper and put a shot into the right side of the goal from six yards out to knot the game at 1-all.
- After 45 minutes, CSUSM led the contest in shots (9-3) and shots on goal (4-2) while Biola had the half's lone corner kick.
- Just over a minute into the second half, the Cougars struck again. After a CSUSM throw-in, Jacob Arellano headed the ball over to Ibarra in the top left corner of the box, who then made a backwards pass towards the goal to Cisco Avila. Avila then put a shot into the left side of the goal from eight yards out to give the Cougars a 2-1 lead in the 47th minute.
