INDIANAPOLIS – The Cal State San Marcos baseball team (33-17) will make its second NCAA Division II West Regional appearance as it was selected as the No. 4 seed by the NCAA Selection Committee on Sunday night.
 
The fourth-seeded Cougars will head to top-seeded Cal State Monterey Bay (36-16), where they will also be joined by fifth-seeded Northwest Nazarene (38-16) for the NCAA West Regional No. 1 taking place Thursday through Saturday at the Otter Sports Complex in Seaside.
 
CSUSM will begin the regional by facing the Nighthawks for the very first time on Thursday at 12 p.m., with the loser taking on the host Otters later in the day at 3 p.m.
 
The winner of the regional pod will compete against the NCAA West Regional No. 2 winner, consisting of second-seeded Point Loma (44-10), third-seeded Cal Poly Pomona (30-23) and sixth-seeded Cal State San Bernardino (27-25) in the NCAA West Super Regional on May 21-23.

Advance ticket sales will be available on OtterAthletics.com/tickets beginning Tuesday, May 12. Tickets can also be purchased at the entrance to the Otter Sports Complex, beginning 60 minutes prior to the first game each day.
