CHICO, Calif. – A scoreless game heading into the 11th inning, the Cal State San Marcos baseball team (17-6, 4-4 CCAA) came away victorious with a 2-0 win to earn the series victory against Chico State (15-15, 4-8 CCAA) in Sunday's finale at Nettleton Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Scoreless after 10 innings, Zech Samayoa delivered with a two-out, two-run homer to left center in the top of the 11th to put CSUSM up 2-0.
- Trevor Morgan came on for CSUSM in the bottom of the 11th and put the game away with a strikeout, pop up and fly out to end the game and hand the Cougars the series win.

- Cougar reliever Zach Romero (3-1) picked up the win after delivering a near-flawless 4.0-inning performance as he allowed just one runner to get on base via a hit-by-pitch while striking out four.
- Wildcat reliever Manny Lopez (4-1) took the loss after giving up the go-ahead homer on a hit and one hit-by-pitch while striking out four in 3.0 innings.
