CARSON, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team (11-11, 8-9 CCAA) fell 83-66 to Cal State Dominguez Hills (18-6, 13-4 CCAA) on Thursday night at the Torodome.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A pair of Nate Simon threes sparked the Cougars to an 18-18 tie before CSUDH nudged back in front on a Jayden Johnston 3-pointer.
- CSUSM briefly took a 35-34 lead on a Jaylin Leslie layup with 2:18 left in the half, and Aaron Ragen's three made it 38-36 with 24 seconds to go.
- CSUDH answered at the horn as Luke Lin hit a three with one second left to give the Toros a 39-38 edge at the break. CSUSM shot 48.3% (14-of-29) and 58.3% from deep (7-of-12) while CSUDH hit 60.7% (17-of-28) and 45.5% (5-of-11) in the opening half.
- The Toros opened the second half with a 5-0 spurt, using a Za-Ontay Boothman three to push the lead to 44-38 at the 18:19 mark.
- Another Boothman three with 11:17 left put CSUDH up by double digits for the first time at 56-45.
- After the Chris Carrillo made it a single-digit game again at 56-47 following two good free throws, another Boothman three put the Toros back up by double digits for the remainder of the contest with 9:49 to play

- CSUSM shot 45.1% (23-of-51) from the field to CSUDH's 61.0% (36-of-59).
- Both teams shot 50.0% from three (CSUSM 9-of-18; CSUDH 10-of-20).
