SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (6-8, 2-3 CCAA) posted a season-best .381 hitting percentage and earned its second consecutive victory Thursday evening, sweeping Cal State Dominguez Hills (2-12, 1-4 CCAA) by scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-16 at The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With the opening set tied at 3-all, CSUSM went on a 6-0 run featuring two kills by Lewis and one apiece from Kranz and Seligmiller. The Toros pulled within one at 9-8, but the Cougars never surrendered the lead and scored the final four points to take the set 25-18.
- The teams battled to an 11-all tie in the second set before CSUSM scored five of the next six points to move ahead 16-12. The Cougars hit .462 in the frame and closed it out on a Kranz kill for a 25-17 victory.
- Tied at 4-all in the third, CSUSM used a 6-0 run behind Eleanor Brislen's serve to take control. The Cougars later produced another six-point run to extend their lead to 17-5. CSUDH fought off five match points before Seligmiller delivered the final kill in the 25-16 victory.

- CSUSM led in kills (44-27), assists (39-27), service aces (6-4), digs (34-24) and blocks (7-2).
- The Cougars' .381 hitting percentage was their best of the season.
