SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (7-8, 3-3 CCAA) earned its third consecutive victory Saturday evening, sweeping Cal Poly Humboldt (7-7, 2-4 CCAA) by scores of 25-18, 25-22 and 25-14 at The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After the opening set was tied at 9-all, CSUSM produced five consecutive points to take a 14-9 lead. Blas-Cedeno served three aces during the run, and the Cougars maintained control the rest of the way for a 25-18 victory.
- CSUSM scored the first four points of the second set and extended its lead to 10-3. The Lumberjacks battled back and pulled within one at 23-22, but consecutive kills by Kranz and Blayne Seligmiller gave the Cougars a 25-22 win.
- Trailing 8-3 in the third, CSUSM answered with a 9-1 run to move ahead 12-9. The Cougars later scored 11 of 12 points to build a 24-11 advantage before completing the sweep with a 25-14 victory.
