COURSE REPORT:Â With Angela MaManus leading the pack of Cougars, the Cal State San Marcos women's cross country team placed fourth at its home meet, the Cougar Challenge, held Saturday morning on campus. The Cougars tallied 115 points in the 6K race, finishing behind Cal Poly Pomona (33 points), Point Loma (38) and Pomona-Pitzer (100).
FINISH LINE
- McManus was CSUSM's top runner with a runner-up finish in 20:58.4. Her time was the fastest 6K time on the home course and third-fastest 6K time in program history. Â
- Maria Texis placed 25th overall with a time of 21:58.1 and took the last spot in the Top 25 All-Time Performers List for CSUSM.Â
- Melissa Estrada followed closely in 26th at 22:01.5.
- Chloe Quezada crossed in 34th place with a time of 22:08.7.
- Emily Mendoza rounded out the scoring five in 42nd at 22:25.0.
- Ana Moreno-Perez and Tamara Cornejo also contributed with finishes in 44th (22:29.1) and 59th (22:54.4), respectively.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Cougars will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the UC Riverside Invitational.Â
