COURSE REPORT
The Cal State San Marcos women's cross country team placed 23rd out of 25 teams at the Highlander Invitational on Saturday in Riverside, scoring 511 points in the 6K race.
FINISH LINE
- Hailie Lomeli led the Cougars with a 73rd-place finish in 21:57.1.
- Gabriella Romero placed 120th with a 6KÂ PR time of 22:36.1.
- Chloe Quezada crossed in 124th at 22:39.1.
- Lauren Peacher finished 127th with a 6K PR time of 22:41.2.
- Emily Mendoza rounded out CSUSM's scoring five in 171st place with a time of 23:15.9.
- Additional Cougar finishers included Tamara Cornejo (177th, 23:20.1), Itzel Del Rio (180th, 23:20.7), Lilliana Sanders (203rd, 23:53.3), Kennadi Cauley (207th, 24:02.7), Alayna McGarry (236th, 25:14.3), Aurora Eskridge (241st, 25:47.7), Thalia Griffith (214th, 24:17.1) and Dayanara Solis (255th, 28:37.9).

The Cougars will return to action on Friday, Oct. 24, at the CCAA Championships hosted by Chico State at Hooker Oak Park in Chico, California.
