COURSE REPORT: The Cal State San Marcos men's cross country team placed fourth with a score of 99 at the CCAA Championships on the course of Woodward Park in Fresno on Friday morning.
FINISH LINE
- Sankalp Shastri placed fifth out of 77 runners with a time of 24:26.3, improving on a 43rd-place finish in 2023.
- Alan Jimenez just missed out on earning all-conference honors with a 17th-place finish in a time of 24:47.9.
- Ataklty Gebru (23rd) and Braden Oberg (25th) both record 8K PR times at 25:02.9 and 25:05.4, respectively.
- Jacob Brown (25:32.9, 34th), Ziggy Nacco (25:38.3, 35th) and Renton McGregor (25:51.2, 39th) rounded out CSUSM's scoring.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Cougars will be off for two weeks preparing for the NCAA Division II West Regional Championships in Billings, Montana, on Nov. 9. The regional will take place at Amend Park where they were hosted in 2022 and 2018.
