ARCATA, Calif. – The RV Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team (14-4, 11-2 CCAA) closed out its road trip with a 62-56 come-from-behind victory at Cal Poly Humboldt on Saturday night at Lumberjack Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jacks jumped out to a quick 12-2 lead in the first 2:18 minutes of play.
- The Cougars trailed 20-16 after shooting 25% (4-of-16) in the first quarter.
- A Mastora 3-pointer from the corner dwindled Humboldt's lead to 22-20 at the 8:06 mark of the second quarter.
- A right-handed layup by Reilly evened the game at 22-all with 7:07 remaining in the second quarter.
- Back-to-back 3-pointers by Julia Calvin gave Humboldt a 32-24 lead at 2:52.
- Humboldt took a 36-29 lead into the break after shooting 44.1% (15-of-34) in the first half to CSUSM's 30% (9-of-30). Both teams posted identical 4-of-12 performances from the 3-point line.
- Humboldt's Emilia Long led all scorers in the first half with 18 points.
- The Cougars were held scoreless for five and half minutes, finding themselves down 45-39 until Gallegos connected on the back end of her free throws with two minutes remaining in the third quarter.
- A last-second Reilly layup cut Humboldt's lead to 45-43 entering the fourth quarter.
- CSUSM took its first lead of the game on a Vasquez layup with 6:19 remaining in the game to make it 53-52, sparking a 9-0 run.
- The Cougars closed out the game on a 13-4 run to clinch the victory.
- Vasquez scored all of her 13 points while pulling down 15 of her 17 rebounds in the second half.

- The Cougars are in first place in the CCAA standings with a two-game lead over Chico State and Cal Poly Pomona, who are tied for second place.
- CSUSM outscored Humboldt 19-11 in the fourth quarter with a 41.7 (5-of-12) field-goal percentage.
- CSUSM led for just 6:19 of the game while the Jacks were on top for 31:14.
- Vasquez collected her 11th double-double of the season (13 pts, 17 reb.) and the 37th of her collegiate career.
- Reilly's 10 points and nine rebounds were both season highs.
