COURSE REPORT: Carly Schuerger set the pace for the Cal State San Marcos women's cross country team at the Cougar Challenge on Saturday at Mangrum Track & Field. CSUSM placed seventh with a score of 221 while No. 6 Chico State (46) took the team title.
FINISH LINE
- Schuerger collected 30th place for CSUSM with a time of 21:58.6.
- Angela McManus crossed the line next for CSUSM, placing 46th in a time of 22:27.0.
- Melissa Estrada took 69th place with a time of 22:59.6.
- Maslin Sigler and Maria Texis were next for the Cougars finishing 75th (23:06.0) and 76th (23:08.2), respectively.
- Emily Mendoza and Emma Mills rounded out the CSUSM scorers, place 98th (23:38.3) and 99th (23:40.3).
WHAT'S NEXT
The Cougars are off next weekend before heading to Illinois for the Lewis Crossover on Oct. 7.
