COURSE REPORT: Chloe Quezada paced the Cal State San Marcos women's cross country team to a fifth-place finish Saturday morning at the Coyote Challenge. The Cougars recorded 156 points in the 6K race, finishing behind Cal Poly Pomona (27), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (58), CSUMB (58) and CUI (113).
FINISH LINE
- Quezada led CSUSM with a 25th-place finish in 21:53.8.
- Melissa Estrada was the second Cougar across the line, placing 33rd with a time of 22:07.7.
- Alayna McGarry followed in 36th place at 22:13.6.
- Danna Ibarra took 39th in 22:19.2.
- Kiala Haas rounded out the Cougars' scoring five in 41st place with a time of 22:21.9.
- Hailie Lomeli (44th, 22:29.2) and Alee Reyburn (61st, 22:51.8) also finished among CSUSM's top seven.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Cougars return to action Saturday, Sept. 19, at the UCR Invitational in Riverside.
