PUEBLO, Colo. – The 2023 season for the Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team came to an end at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday night at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl.
 
In the women's 800-meter run, Luz Mercado placed 14th overall with a time of 2:13.64 in the first heat. Her time was her fifth fastest in the event this season and for her career.

This was the first NCAA Championships appearance for Mercado.
