SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos baseball team (9-14, 3-10 CCAA) fell 15-8 in the series finale against Stanislaus State (18-15, 11-12 CCAA) on Monday at CSUSM Baseball Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM got out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first with an RBI single up the middle by Reece.
- The Cougars went up 4-0 in the bottom of the third with an RBI double to right center by Reece, an RBI double down the left field line by Rivera and an RBI single up the middle by Schnopp.
- The Warriors posted six runs in the top of the fourth to go ahead 6-4 on a bases-loaded walk by Jon Luke Goldman, a two-run double by Mac Cabero, an RBI single by Jacob Baker and a two-run double by Robert Valdivia.
- CSUSM made it a 6-5 game in the bottom of the sixth as Rivera scored from third on a wild pitch.
- Stanislaus put up six more runs in the top of the seventh, highlighted by a Ryan Leonesio grand slam off the left field foul pole, to go up 12-5.
- Reece tallied his third and fourth RBIs of the game in the bottom of the seventh with a two-run double to right to make it a 12-7 game.
- The Warriors went up 14-7 in the top of the eighth with an RBI single by Kyle Rachels and an RBI fielder's choice by Cabero.
- Stan State tallied its final run in the top of the ninth with an RBI single by Flavio Perez to go up 15-7.
- CSUSM posted its final run in the bottom of the ninth with an RBI double to left center by Pacino to cut the deficit to 15-8.

- Stanislaus reliever Damian Vallejos (2-0) earned the win as threw 3.1 innings and allowed one run on three hits while striking out one.
- CSUSM starter Josh Kim (3-2) took the loss after allowing six runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four.
- Reece extended his reached-base streak to 22 games while Schnopp improved his team-best hitting streak to nine.
