SAN MARCOS, Calif. – After a two-month break, the indoor season will continue for the Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team as it heads to Mankato, Minnesota, for two iterations of the Minnesota State Massive Meet on Friday and Saturday.

LAST MEET

• CSUSM last competed on Dec. 9-10 at the CRC Pre-Holiday Invite & Multi on the campus of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
• Morgann Wilson tied the program's pentathlon record held by Kelly Skvarna (Feb. 14, 2015) with a point total of 2,972. Charlotte Allison had the fourth-best point total at 2,677.
• Allison's high jump mark of 1.60 meter tied for the second best in school history. Wilson's mark of 1.47 meters ranked sixth and Lauren Meredith's height of 1.35 meters was eighth.
• Meredith recorded a height of 3.08 meters in the pole vault for the third-best mark in program history.
• In the long jump, Allison posted the fifth-best distance in school history at 5.29 meters while Wilson had the sixth best at 5.19 meters.
• Wilson tallied the fifth-best 60-meter hurdle time in program history at 9.38 while Meredith had the 10th-best time at 9.69.

MINNESOTA STATE MASSIVE MEET

• The Cougars will head to Minnesota State for the very first time to compete in the Maverick's two separate meets on Friday and Saturday.
• Traveling to Mankato will be Charlotte Allison, Rasha Badrani, Angela McManus, Ana Mercado, Luz Mercado, Lauren Meredith, Emma Mills, Teigen O'Donnell, Mia Salinas, Carly Schuerger, Ashton Stamatopoulos and Devin Yarbrough.
• Field events will get underway at 9 a.m. (PT) on Friday with running events set to commence at 10:30 a.m. (PT).
• On Saturday, field events will begin at 8 a.m. (PT) while running events will start at 9 a.m. (PT).
• Both meets will take place in MSU's Myers Field House.

THE OLSON FILE

• Head coach Torrey Olson begins his fifth season at the helm of the men's and women's track & field programs after taking over in the summer of 2018.
• In 2019, Olson's men's and women's squads tallied three individual CCAA Championships for outdoor competition while the men's team earned five USTFCCCA All-West Region selections.
• In 2022, Olson guided both teams to a combined three individual CCAA Championships, 13 All-CCAA selections and five USTFCCCA All-West Region honors.
• Olson came to CSUSM after spending three seasons as the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country at the Academy of Art University where his teams earned 50-plus All-American honors.
• Olson served as the head cross country coach the previous three years at Academy of Art.
• In addition to the Academy of Art, Olson has also worked with the University of San Francisco and Pomona-Pitzer College.
• A graduate of Pomona College in 2009, Olson also holds an MFA from St. Mary's College (2012).
