SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Already earning a berth in the CCAA Tournament, the Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team (15-8, 14-4 CCAA) will look to clinch a bye and one of the top two seeds as it sets out on its final road trip of the regular season to face Cal State Dominguez Hills (10-14, 6-12 CCAA) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Cal State East Bay (9-15, 7-11 CCAA) on Saturday at 3 p.m.

LAST WEEK
- The Cougars started last week with a 61-51 victory over Chico State.
- CSUSM then clinched a berth in the CCAA Tournament with a dominant 85-54 win against Stanislaus State.
COUGARS BY THE NUMBERS
- Four games ahead of third-place Cal Poly Humboldt, one win by the Cougars this weekend clinch a bye at the CCAA Tournament and guarantee CSUSM is one of the top two seeds. CSUSM's first tournament game would be in the semifinals on Friday, March 3.

- In CSUSM and CSUDH's first meeting on Jan. 21, the Cougars overcame the Toros in overtime to earn an 85-78 victory.

ROAD FINALE AT EAST BAY
- CSUSM and East Bay will meet for the second time this season on Saturday.
- Prior to Saturday's game, the Pioneers will face Cal State LA on Thursday.

A NEW CAMPAIGN
- The Cougars were voted to finish second in the 2022-23 CCAA Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Nine Cougars return from the 2021-22 team, including All-CCAA first-teamer Jayce McCain and second-teamer Greg Milton III.
- CSUSM is joined this year by five transfers, including sophomore Quinn Denker (West Valley College), redshirt junior Edwyn Collins (Riverside City College), graduate Zack Perlstein (Cal State East Bay), redshirt junior Bing Huang (Johnson County CC) and redshirt junior Chris Howard (Palomar College).

THE FOSTER FILE
- Head coach B.J. Foster enters his seventh season in charge of the CSUSM Men's Basketball program after taking over the head position in 2016.
