SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team (15-8, 14-4 CCAA) earned a berth in the CCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season as it led wire-to-wire in its 85-54 victory over Stanislaus State (9-15, 7-11) on Saturday afternoon at The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM began the game on a 9-0 run in the first three minutes of the game.
- The Cougars went up by double digits for the first time and for good at 20-9 with a Denker 3-pointer at the 10:12 mark of the first half.
- Another 3-pointer by Denker with 3:22 to go in the half gave CSUSM its largest lead of the period at 35-16.
- The Cougars ended the half with a 39-26 lead after shooting 55.2% (16-of-29) from the field while the Warriors came in at 41.7% (10-of-24).
- A 3-pointer by McCain with 18:07 left put CSUSM up by 21 at 49-28.
- A fast-break jumper by Collins with 4:42 to go gave CSUSM a 30-point lead at 80-50.
- A 3-pointer by Jack Schultz with 2:29 remaining gave the Cougars their largest lead of the game at 85-50.

- CSUSM's 31-point win was its largest of the season and the largest margin of victory over Stanislaus State in the all-time series.
- The Cougars tallied a season-high 14 steals.
- CSUSM scored 20 points off Stanislaus' 17 turnovers.
